Because none of you WANKERS volunteered to lay a trail this fine holiday, your trusty JM Whoreo and her steady sidekick Bubbles have decided to float you down to Bastrop. Get a taste of the long drive east for your 2000th campout next weekend!
Pre-Pre-lube at Neighbor’s Kitchen and Yard @ 601 Chestnut St (it’s a short walk from the start along the Riverwalk) for Bloody Marys or Mimosas (only $3). Opens at 11am.
Fisherman’s Park may be crowded parking wise, but there is overflow parking at the public library just up the hill.
Bring your favorite Colorado River flotation device (we suggest toobs) but kayak, pool noodles, balloons, air mattresses, etc… anything that will hold you afloat for about a 1 mile float at the end of trail to get you back to the start A-A.
PS Your floats will be transported so inflate early and often. Hope to see ya in BASTROP on Sunday the 4th of July!
