Austin H3 has its 40th analversary on 23rd March 2025 . We will celebrate that day on our normal Sunday trail and have a campout celebration on 2-4th May 2025 surrounded by nature at Rocky Hill Ranch near Smithville, TX, easily accessible to residents of Austin to San Antonio to Houston, and maybe a little less so to DFW and El Paso.
This event is open to all hashers, in Texas and elsewhere. But it’s in early May. Make your plans soon!
Schedule
Friday 2nd May 2025
- Check-in during afternoon or evening. You will have to sign two waivers, one for Austin H3 and one for Rocky Hill Ranch.
- Dinner and pub crawl in Bastrop (on your own)
- This day is not part of the rego.
Saturday 3rd may 2025
- Brunch, 9-11am
- Check-in and sign waivers if you didn’t do that Friday.
- Haberdashery bazaar during brunch open to all
- Austin H3 trail, celebrating the 40th analversary of the Austin H3. Rocky Hill Ranch is a mountain biking mecca, and the trails will be good, if also shitty. Trail starts around 1pm. Hare: Crusty Beaver.
- Offsite swimming/kayaking option in the Colorado river nearby. Time to be determined
- Bike ride, led by hashers familiar with the area. Probably in the morning before the main trails.
- Dinner at 6-8pm
- DJ music at night (if any DJs rego)
- Nekkid hash near midnight
Sunday 4th may 2025
- More beer
- Brunch, 9-11am
- Habadashery bazaar at brunch open to all
- Austin H3 normal Sunday trail. either onsite or nearby. FREE TRAIL for all the hashers whether you were at Rocky Hill or not during the weekend. If you only attend this trail, you still have to pay Rocky Hill $10 for day use fee. Hare: F*cktronics
- Parting circle after trail
- Go the hell home, and May the 4th Be With You
Pricing
The crucial thing to understand is that regos are by individual, but your total cost is determined by your camping arrangements, whether by tent/car or RV.
Everyone pays a base rego price of $69.69, which includes the food, beer, and related expenses only. Rocky Hill Ranch has its own camping and day-use fees which are not part of the rego. See this Rocky Hill Fees page to learn more.
